For the second time in our history, we have made a financial contribution to a selected non-profit organization. Employees and customers voted and decided that this time the cheque would go to Plamienok, a non-profit that excels in the field of children’s home palliative and hospice care, as well as providing grief counselling and therapy for children and their families.
IN ALANATA, THE CHRISTMAS SEASON IS ABOUT HELPING OTHERS
December is the month of joy and togetherness, and in such an atmosphere there are activities and surprises for colleagues, most of which also have a charitable dimension. We want to make this a special time not only for them, but also for the people who need it. Because that is what Christmas is all about! Together with our colleagues, we take part in the Christmas appeal of the civic association Koľko Lásky, whereby we make lonely seniors happy and support single parents in difficult situations by buying St. Nicholas gifts from Drevenô koliesko.
WE HAVE FINANCIALLY SUPPORTED THE CLOWN ARTS: THE GIFT WILL BRING JOY AND LAUGHTER TO MANY PATIENTS
Clowns have been operating in Slovakia for 19 years. They spread good cheer, joy and laughter not only to children’s wards in hospitals, but also to 31 senior facilities. Their hallmark is a red nose. Health is the most precious thing we have in life, so we decided to support the ČERVENÝ NOS (Red Nose) civic association with the help of our customers and employees. We appreciate the work of the health clowns immensely, which is why we donated to them a financial gift of 10,000 euros.
SUPPORTING YOUNG TALENT IN THE FIELD OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Pupils of the Primary School in Pusté Úľany take part in the international Robocup robot competition every year. They are the only ones who represent Slovakia abroad and prove that even such a small country in the heart of Europe can educate smart and skilled technicians, computer scientists and physicists. The school has already achieved a number of significant successes and, thanks to Alanata’s support, talented pupils can improve their skills in robotics and artificial intelligence, which is both the present and the future, and not only in the world of IT.
ARTISTS WITH DOWN SYNDROME HAVE CREATED UNIQUE BADGES FOR US
On the occasion of the creation of Alanata, we approached the civil association and the brand Hento Toto, which designs and produces various creative objects. The task was to create something unique that would represent and express Alanata’s message and that our colleagues would be proud to claim.
“RAINBOW IN THE HEART” FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES
We supported a fundraising cultural event called “Rainbow in the Heart”. In Nové Mesto nad Váhom, disabled children from 24 institutions and facilities for the disabled, in addition to the artists, also performed with their own program. The funds provided by us helped to make this event happen – transport, sound and light equipment, materials for creative workshops, disinfection and other materials needed for the event were provided.
WE ALSO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT IN OUR HEADQUARTERS BUILDING
Our headquarters, Einsteinova Business Center in Bratislava, has been awarded the prestigious BREEAM certificate at the Excellent level. This is the second highest rating for the quality and performance of buildings in terms of environmental friendliness. Only certified materials, free of harmful substances, were used in its construction. The main suppliers had to have an environmental management system certificate conforming to ISO 14001.
